Everyone tells you the newborn days are a blur — and they're right. The tiny fingers curled around yours, the weight of them asleep on your chest, the way the whole house goes quiet when they finally do. These are the details you'll ache to remember, and the ones that slip away first.
I became a photographer because of my own children. I know from experience how fast this season moves, and I know the value of the photographs on the other side of it. They begin as beautiful images; over the years they become something closer to treasure.
Gentle, Unhurried, Baby-Led Sessions
My newborn sessions are relaxed and unforced. No rigid schedule, no elaborate props your baby will never wear again — just your family, soft natural light, and time enough for feeding, soothing and snuggling whenever baby needs it.
I photograph the real story of these days: baby in your arms, in the nursery you prepared, wrapped in the blanket that will someday live in a keepsake box. Big siblings and pets are always welcome — they're part of this chapter too.

Before baby arrives
The best time to reach out is during your second or third trimester. We'll plan everything before your due date — timing, location, what to have ready — so that once baby is here, the only thing you have to do is text me.

We work around your baby, not the clock. I'll guide you into natural, comfortable moments — no awkward posing, no pressure for baby to "perform." Feeding breaks, diaper changes and pauses are simply part of the rhythm.

Growing Families Stay With Me
Many of the families I photograph began with a newborn session — and came back for first birthdays, family sessions, and eventually senior pictures. It's one of the greatest privileges of twenty years in the Tri-Cities: watching the babies I photographed grow up in front of my camera.

When should newborn photos be taken?
There's no single "right" window. The classic sleepy-curled look happens in the first two weeks, but lifestyle sessions at home are beautiful anytime in the first couple of months. If your baby is already here, it's not too late — reach out and we'll plan it.
Should we do the session at home or outdoors?
Both can be beautiful, and it depends on your comfort and the season.
